Janette Laverrière was a well known designer in the 1950s and 60s and her work is now being rediscovered and appreciated. Although Swiss born, she has been based in Paris for many years where she is still working at the age of 94. She began her career with Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann but has since developed her own distinctive, poetic, modernist style. Her work is featured in the collections of Paris’ Musée d’Art Moderne and the Mobilier National.
